Elizabeth Taylor ~ Living Larger Then Life

Elizabeth Taylor has left us today of congestive heart failure, the last Hollywood golden star has fallen. Let us remember this dame, her extraordinary features stood out like no other, her heart shape face framed with her raven hair and her tiny waist made anything plain she wore look magnificent. Besides her glamorous appearance, she had a strong love for jewelry; collecting extravagant pieces, like the most talked about 33.19 carat diamond and also designing her own for The Elizabeth Collection. She did not stop there she came out with three perfumes senses of “Passion”, “White Diamonds” and “Black Pearls” that still lingers in our life.
In our eyes, Elizabeth Taylor was seen as a fashion icon of old Hollywood glam, but when asked if she considered herself as one, she stated she was fortunate enough to work with geniuses like Valentino, Halston, Gianni Versace and Rose Sharaff. Like a true fashionista she answered, she had never worried about good or bad taste, she would dress to please herself, the man in her life or the character she played onscreen.
Liz Taylor was not just a beautiful face of the silver screen; she was also a humanitarian giving voice to HIV/AIDS. She donated her time to AIDS related charities and fundraisers, Liz also help start American Foundation for AIDS Research after the death of her former costar and friend, Rock Hundson. Her iconic style and life will forever be embedded in our memories and hearts. Her death will not be a mourning, but a celebration of her “Living larger then life”.
