Mother’s Day

It’s officially the month of May and that means there’s a very special someone that is to be celebrated and recognized. Mother’s Day is May 8, everyone! Mark your calendars because this is a day all of us should remember, despite how busy we may be. No excuses people. We get the other 364 days of the year to be mom’s priority so this day should be all about her. Your beautiful mama should have absolutely nothing to worry or stress about on this day except what she wants to order along with her potato pancakes at brunch. For those of you who haven’t had time to give it much thought, the day is just around the corner so let us give you a few suggestions and ideas to get you started.

1. Start the Day Right- What’s better than to wake up to a ready-made plate of breakfast and hot cup of coffee to sip on the moment you walk in the kitchen in the morning? Start her day off right by preparing pancakes, scrambled eggs, toast- whatever gets her up in the morning.

2. Enjoy an activity SHE enjoys- If she’s not running around dropping off your sister at basketball practice or getting the bills paid on time, what does she spend her time doing? Does she like to go hiking? Go furniture shopping? Or maybe she likes to spend some time at the spa. Whatever it may be, be sure to put aside your own preferences and devote some time to be involved in an activity your mom enjoys with her.

3. Reminisce about the good times- It’s always fun to whip out the old home videos you have stored in that big ol’ box in the closet somewhere and remember the special memories you shared with your mama. Those memories between you and your mom is something you forever share with your mama so get the popcorn ready and prepare for some good laughs, replaying embarrassing moments and to laugh at how silly your little brother was for thinking he was so cool in his Mickie Mouse pants and plastic sunglasses.

Whether time allows for you to spend the entire day with her or surprising her with a piece of your love in the mail, here are some mother’s day gift ideas that will surely put a big smile on her face and of course, to remind her how amazing of a daughter/son you are.
